We prayed for a child and we FOUND one

My name is Riophel Udan, a registered Nurse, married to Laila Marie Udan. We’ve been married for 5 years. On our first year of marriage my wife had an ectopic pregnancy which resulted for her right fallopian tube to be removed. Our Doctor told us that we still have a chance to have a baby, but both of us must undergo some test and procedures, we did have a regular check-up, but days, months, and even years had past we didn’t have a chance to have a baby. Every night we pray and hope that my wife will get pregnant. but things are getting more complicated because my doctor told me that I have a varicocelle. And I have to undergo an operation to correct it. I was so depressed, I sometime ask Jesus “why? Anong nagawa namin bakit di mo kami bigyan ng anak. Bakit yung ibang tao binibigyan mo pero pina-aabort nila. Bakit kami gusto namin ng anak di mo kami mabigyan?”. I’ve always think that maybe Jesus has a plan for us.

We have a friend who lived in Tagaytay and everytime we go to their place, I always see this big Mama Mary statue, my mom told me that the place is tierra de Maria, then my wife and I went to tierra de Maria, it was our first time. I don’t know but when I’ve entered the place, a soft music, a peaceful ambiance and a feeling that I can’t explain. I cried when I hold Mama Mary’s hand and the wound of Jesus. It’s an experience that I will not forget.

Last November, with my wife, my mom and dad, my uncle and his friends went back to tierra de Maria. And we are very lucky because we saw bother jigger, me and my wife ask him if he could pray for us that my varicocelle be corrected even without operation and for my wife to get pregnant. he put his hands in our heads, me and my wife cried while he’s giving us prayers. I believed that Jesus and Mama Mary touched our hearts. I felt so very happy. And then every night me and my wife prayed and hoped that we will have a baby.

April 9, 2006 (7am) Palm Sunday, me and wife having our breakfast when our neighbor called my attention, she said “ rio tignan mo may bata sa bakanteng lote” when I reach the place I taught the baby is dead. “ may pusod pa yung bata binuhol lang yung dulo para di maubusan ng dugo. Walang damit naka lapag sa lupa, covered with grass (isis) matalas na damo covering from his face to abdomen exposing only her legs and feet. Then I heard the baby cried very weak, and pale in color. We covered her body with cloth and brought the baby to the nearest hospital. Naisip ko she’s a fighter, she really want to live. That’s why me and my wife decided to adopt the baby. And now she’s 3 months old, she’s very preety and bright. We thank Jesus and Mama Mary for the greatest gift we recived. And to brother jigger for the prayers he gave us. Thank you very much…
