Pilgrim Images
“There are millions of my devotees, harness them like fishers of men” was another leading and inspiration. One day, we will bring the image of our Blessed Virgin Mother to the provinces was a vision. Where thousands will gather to welcome, honor and venerate Her. We launched the Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Manaoag, also known as the Lady of the Holy Rosary. Traditionally, pilgrim images are brought to churches. However, those that go to church are already Catholics. In as much as our thrust is for the conversion of souls, we were inspired to once more initiated a non-traditional approach by bringing Mama Mary to the seat of power of the various towns and municipalities of which are the provincial capitols and municipal halls upon the invitation of either the Mayors or Governors. We brought the Pilgrim Image to the various private and government institutions in the NCR and Metro Manila, as well as the provincial capitols and municipalities of the provinces of Abra, Tarlac, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Quezon, Negros Oriental and Occidental , and the Panay Islands. The local officials highlighted the event by coordinating with the parish priests and organizing the welcome committee composed of government officials, parents, members of private, civic and religious organizations of the locality, teachers and students of various schools and local bands.
The schedule of activities of the Pilgrim Visit included the Nine-Days Novena of prayers wherein a one-hour vigil is assigned to various barangays and various local government departments, as well as all the private, civic and religious organizations and communities. The highlight of the event is the “W.I.S.H. and HEALING” session, which was conducted by Bro. Jiggers Alejandrino on the last day of the visit before the Pilgrim Image was passed on to the next town.
The pilgrim image of Our Lady of Manaoag is presently at: Atrium, Festival Mall, Duty Free Philippines, Ever Grand Central, Tutuban, Clark, Bacolod, Zambales and Bulacan.
